Galvanized steel, lower stress grade, a zinc coating binder that inhibits rust, but we are looking at fatigue issues.
COnsider Dy Magnetizing Particle Test: Why? material bonding failure is the source of the corrosion, fatigue will be propagated at these flaws as they are weaker molecularly as a result.
Stainless Steel, just wiggles and snaps, penetrant confirms the depth of the crevices. Like a glacier, no rust just carbonate coating, buff that stainless your grandmother told you.
