Fatigue Cracks, Atmospheric Changes, Dye Penetrant Testing
Stainless steel, you would not consider Dye Magneting PArticle testing, dye pentrant is the solution
Size, punctures, joints are more of a concern welded, accessibility by client.

FOREIGN TECH and UBC

They marry Seismic Research and Civil Engineering with the Forestry Department to develop a student body that has a MASTERS in FORESTRYin structural wood mechanics.

Frank offers a Wood Mechanics Course at the FACULTY OF FORESTRY, studies on material properties.
They have a hundigedda CNC Machine, The members for the Belan Cottage were cut using this equipment.

WESTERN ARCH has 3D modelling programs, the school and students have access to this equipment.

Stainless Steel vs Galvanized tubes,

Do we use Dye Penetrant or Dye Magneting Particle Tests?

Stainless Steel - Dye Penetrant
Galvanized Steel - Dye Magneting Particle

Why;

Let's take a look at the bonding processes, stainless steel is one material, that is brittle in some ways but higher stresses are achievable.

Galvanized steel, lower stress grade, a zinc coating binder that inhibits rust, but we are looking at fatigue issues.
COnsider Dy Magnetizing Particle Test: Why? material bonding failure is the source of the corrosion, fatigue will be propagated at these flaws as they are weaker molecularly as a result.

Stainless Steel, just wiggles and snaps, penetrant confirms the depth of the crevices. Like a glacier, no rust just carbonate coating, buff that stainless your grandmother told you.

Thoughts that need to be workshopped.
